To Make This Vintage Glamour Wedding Centerpiece You Will Need:
Vintage Mirrors
Pearls (Fake Strings OK)
Vintage Vases
Lilies
Water
Candle Holders
Tapered Candles
Finding vintage mirror is pretty easy thanks to their popularity. You can find awesome reproduction vintage looking mirrors at stores like Target if you do not want to invest in the real deal. Otherwise, try hitting the local flea market to find good deals on older looking wood framed mirrors.
Now, depending on how many mirror you find, you have a few options. If you can use 2 mirror per table than stand them so they are back to back, creating a mirrored back drop foot the vintage inspired centerpiece.
If you only have one mirror per table, then lay it flat on the wedding reaction table, right in the middle.
Tip: If you are lucky enough to come backcross vintage hand held mirrors or compacts, then thus look great on the table as well.
Now, on to the flowers. Silver vases are the perfect vintage glamour touch. You can buy inexpensive silver vases, but if you are out at the flea market, then look for vintage vases or shapes of vases that have some vintage charm. Do not worry about the colors.
Take a can do antique silver, hammer silver metal, or chrome spray paint an paint all the vases out to be silver. If you use the chrome you may want to apply a spray on wood stain to tone it down a little.
Place each vase in the center of the wedding reaction table, on the mirrors or in front of them.
Fill the vases with a bunch of Lilies in each one. Use lilies in white only and do not use any filler flowers.
Lay strings of pearls around the base of the flowers in the vase. You can buy string s of fake pearls at the fabric store by the yard.
Finally, you need clear glass or crystal candle holders to complete this vintage glamour wedding centerpiece. Look for the kind that hold tapered candles. Tapered candles were more in use during the 1930's and 40's than any other type of candle.
Finally create a circle of candles around the flowers. Use non drip candles if possible.
The look is finished!
Tip: If you are wondering what to do with all those vintage mirrors once the wedding is over, then take them home and create a collection of vintage mirrors hanging onto the wall! Try doing this on the wall of your steps!
