This vintage window wedding centerpiece is a cute way to create your own shabby chic wedding centerpieces. This simple shabby chic window centerpieces are also a great idea for a fun gift to give someone who loves to garden.

You can also make this spring wedding centerpiece form new windows, but I will be using vintage windows I found at my local flea market.

To Make a Spring Wedding Vintage Window Centerpiece You Will Need:

1 Vintage Window

2X6 Boards

Screws

Saw

Soil

Flowers

Plastic Planter Liner

Screens (optional)

Candles

Wire

Canning Jars

Tea Candles

To get started you want to measure how wide your window is. Cut your 2X6 to this same length. Cut 2 pieces of this.

Now, cut 2 more pieces 4 inches deep.

Now, pre drill holes into the bottom of the window frame.

Line one of the longer board sup and pre drill hole storage it as well. Screw the two together.

Place the other long piece of 2X6 on the front to create a box base for the spring shabby chic wedding centerpiece. Pre drill holes through the front into the bottom board and then screw into place. Repeat this on either side attaching the 2 sides to the window.

You will have a window box attached to the bottom of the vintage window. This will stand the shabby chic wedding centerpiece up.

Now, if you have glass in the window panes of the vintage window, then you can skip this step. If you do into then cut some squares of window screens and staple them into each square to add another detail.

Now, cut out a piece of plastic plant liner and line the inside of the box. Staple into place if it will not hold.

Fill the window box with soil. Tip: If you want this to last a while as a planter, then drill a hole in the bottom of the planter box and push plastic through it. This way you have a drain hole. You can also simple place pots in the box.

Now, fill the soil with plants, climbing IVY and flower sis a great look.

Stand candles in the soil using metal yard light and candle holders. You can also rest canning jars in the dirt.

TIP: You can paint out your whole vintage window wedding centerpiece with milk paint or any paint you wish. You can also use a wood stain to tie the look together.

If you are using large round tables at yoru wedding reception you may want to create 2 of these shabby chic window centerpieces and place them back to back on the table, this way everyone get s a great view.
