Gown designers piled ultra-feminine wedding gowns onto the runway, leaving spectators saturated with vintage-inspired dresses for the season. The style for Spring 2011 is a tribute to our great-grandmother's wedding dresses - loads of lace, silk ribbons, and beading - but we keep it off-the-shoulder and just a little sexy.

J. Crew's Spring 2011 wedding gowns features several lacey options, including a mini-dress - perfect for a destination wedding or an informal event on the beach. Other looks include Greecian-inspires gowns, full of draping and forgiving to the waistline.

Both Vera Wang and Oscar de la Renta add loads of color to their Spring 2011 wedding gown designs. Vera Wang goes with metallic shades - cooper and silver, while Oscar de la Renta goes bold with greens and pinks. Both designers' looks offer lots of a-symmetrical sleeves and hemlines, complimented with stacks of ruffles and tulle.

Greek inspiration continued with Douglas Hannant. The wedding gowns in his Spring 2011 wedding gown line are expertly draped and accented. His models resembled forest pixies. Pops of icy blue also appear on several of the gowns, many also play with a-symmetrical sleeves.

Monique Lhuillier Spring 2011 wedding gowns are high fashion, soaked with girly-girl glam. Beading, silk, and a-symmetrical hem lines make for dream-like wedding dresses.

Priscilla of Boston continues the trend with many lace wedding gowns reminiscent of every decade - from the turn-of-the-century to the 1980s.

Badgley Mischka Spring 2011 wedding gowns offer exquisite texture, beautiful layering and beadwork. The design giant also released earrings, necklaces, and cuffs in perfectly compliment Badgley Mischka wedding gowns.

Some designers, however, kept thing sleek and modern - Melissa Sweet, and Amsale lines all featured very simple silhouettes made of silk and organza, skipping fussiness completely.

While off-the-shoulder gowns remain the front-runner, many sleeved gowns also graced the runways, namely the beautifully-beaded cap sleeve by Jenny Packham, several short-sleeve and long-sleeve options from Oscar de la Renta. Also, Liz Fields designed a high-necked gown with a beautifully-beaded cap sleeved that perfectly mesh modesty and modernity.

For Spring 2011, shiny decorations and overwhelming accents took a backseat to the expert architecture of lace, tulle and other soft fabrics.

Wedding gown designers always offer a variety of dresses as unique as the brides-to-be, Spring 2011 was no exception.
