The other one was steaming.
Outside they went,
Because it was a fight they meant.
The thought of a fight had me scared,
For it was for him I cared.
Did they really have to feud?
No, I had to conclude.
At my father's store:
That's where they were.
One customer suggested a tip,
My dad, well he was going to flip!
A pricing tip he had suggested,
His departure my dad requested.
Luckily they didn't fight,
Because their wives and kids had caught their sight.
Violence has done wrong to me,
And to everyone else, whoever they may be.
Can we go and play after the light of day!?
No! Because it is for our safety that our parents pray!
These bullies, kidnappers, and even gangs,
With all their harmful ways and stupid slang,
They do not let us go and play!
It is our freedom that they have taken away!
We have done nothing to deserve this!
So why should we be punished like this?
In a way we are all connected,
Because by this, we are all affected.
Where we are all neglected,
We should all be protected.
I have to say, why has this been done?
I wish that the violence had never begun.
Violence is absolutely and positively wrong!
Something must be done, no matter how much time it takes, even if it takes no time at all, or even if it takes very long.
We should do all that we possibly can,
To stop this violence, not resting, until someone declares a ban.
A ban on violence there should be!
A ban to make the violence flee!
To make violence flee in frustration!
To make violence flee from our nation!
Something must be done, this is known,
But why, in the first place, has this violence grown?
From a seed, a mere thought in some peoples' heads,
To a towering flower, which everyone dreads.
Someone must have thought of this atrocious task,
So I just have to ask,
What is the cause of this, this horrible game?
Who is here to take the blame?
I am so stupid! The answer is right here!
In this very poem, to be more clear.
Gangs, kidnappers, bullies too!
Those are some of the very few.
But there are more, like terrorists and criminals, even people who like to start a war!
But there must be something deeper in this answer,
Because, to me, my own answer does not seem like an answer.
I think, we are to blame,
Except most of us are tame.
By that, I mean, we are all angry, in a way,
It's just that some of us cannot control ourselves and will sway.
They will sway from the path of rightness,
And give up their willingness for politeness.
These are the people, the people who have become bad.
The people who start fights and make everyone sad.
Now that that is out of the way, we still have the violence to shun,
And yet, we have not figured out a way for this to be done.
But like I have said before,
We will not stop until the violence is no more.
Wait one second! What if all violence is not evil!?
What if some violence is good, not medieval?
For one example, what about wars?
Of course, starting wars is bad, but what about everyone fighting for good, like the Marine Corps?
Surely, if there were no wars, we'd not need
good violence, and people wouldn't need to die,
But of course, there are wars, well for now, and as the soldiers leave to serve our country, we still have to say goodbye.
But let us not stray from our subject.
Our violence, we must eject.
As we are young, we cannot do much,
But we can also not do such.
By such I mean, violence of course,
So do not do violence, or you will have a great feeling of remorse.
We could do a lot more, and it would help if we tried in a group,
Because, as we all know, stopping violence is not as easy as shooting a hoop.
If we work together, we can do a lot more,
And we wouldn't have to deal with violence anymore.
We could, protest, peacefully of course, or we become mediators,
And even work together with some counselors.
But we could also help by ourselves,
By not doing violence, or helping the violent ones, and help them put the violence within themselves on the shelves.
So, my friends, my thoughts are clear, if you do not do violence,
You will help stop the violence.
My thinking is this: if you do not do violence, you will not help violence grow,
People might see how you have lived, and help us in our quest to get the violence to go.
Of course, you could go the extra mile,
And maybe help someone in denial.
Everyone can help someone else, and give a gift,
Even if they have to work more than one "shift."
So, my conclusion comes to this, when it comes to violence, no matter how big or how small,
We probably can't get rid of it all,
But we can still do all that we can.
All we need is well-thoroughly thought plan.
When we work together, we can really make a difference in this world.
Hopefully, people will take the violence within themselves and give it a great hurl.
All I have to say is, at the very least is, do not do violence, and feel in the core of your heart,
You have helped the world, in the universal need, to stop the violence, by doing your part.
I thank you.
If you want me to make any other poems, I would love to make one for you.
