Viral Internet Videos Where Someone Gets Hurt

It's Okay to Laugh!

Jillian McCoy
It's all fun and games till someone gets hurt, right? These 3 viral internet videos prove that sometimes it's funny anyway. No one sustains a major injury in these videos, but they get hurt just enough for hilarious results. Enjoy these videos - one of the only times in life it's socially acceptable to laugh at someone else's misfortune.

Afro Ninja - Watch free at YouTube

Eighteen seconds of pure hilarity. This video looks like it was intended to be one of those low-budget martial arts videos, kinda like the "Rex Kwon Do" commercial from awkward comedy film Napoleon Dynamite. The "afro ninja" seems very confident as he begins, ready to do his backflip. But things don't go as he planned, leading him to fall flat on his face and then keel over - but not before he flicks his nunchucks! Maybe this guy isn't as great a martial artist as he thinks.

This was originally featured on eBaumsworld.com, but their site was running very slowly at the time of this article's writing. The YouTube version linked above has received almost 10 million views, making it far more "viral" than the eBaum's World version which has received only 92,000. The version of this video on eBaum's World can be seen here (site sometimes NSFW).

Closet Door Falls on Channing - Watch Free at YouTube

Poor Channing. This young girl is all set to put on a "stuffed animal dog show" - whatever that is - and solicits video responses from fellow YouTubers to do the same. She walks across her bedroom and stands in front of her closet, notifying viewers of how she's going to put on her show. Her stuffed dog bumps the broken closet door, causing it to fall on her. After the initial shock and a scream, Channing scrambles to the camera to turn it off.

Before you call me evil for laughing at a door falling on a helpless kid, note that Channing's fine! She sustained no injuries and the closet door was later fixed. Channing took a break from YouTube video production for a while after this video was uploaded, but she's now back at it. If anything, this video has been her claim to fame, netting over 1,000,000 views! According to Channing in this video, her mishap was picked up by FAIL Blog, leading her to be featured on a few television shows.

Charlie Bit My Finger - Watch Free at YouTube

This features two young brothers sitting together in a chair. Harry has the not-so-bright idea to stick his finger into baby brother Charlie's mouth. Charlie does what babies love to do after getting their first teeth - bite! The look on Harry's face is comedy gold as he yells "Ow, Charlie!" Once he finally gets his finger free, the boys are back to giggling. This video has gotten more than 183 million views in just under 3 years. Charlie and Harry, along with baby brother Jasper, have been featured in several more viral internet videos by YouTube user HDCYT - the boys' father. According to HDCYT's YouTube channel page, this video was featured by Time Magazine and is YouTube's #1 non-commercial video of all time.
