I applaud whoever came up with the idea of adding a 'Carbon Copy' and a 'Blind Carbon Copy' option to emails. Typically, I never even use this option. For years I did not even know what it was. The dawn of internet chain letters changed all that for me and when I started sending out mass emails I began using the CC. However, some people have gone above and beyond chain letters and silly forwards. I am not really sure what would possess a person to think that sending me a snotty email with the basic intent of making me look like an ass and then CC'ing everyone in our department would be a good idea. There should actually be a health warning next to the CC or BCC, warning people from doing this. It would read: Prolonged use of CC or BCC may result in headaches and stress, commonly referred to as "I just hit 'Reply All' you stupid bitch."
'Reply All' is the only known cure for someone who has a serious case of CC'ing or BCC'ing. When taken in conjunction with large amounts of my attitude, it really is the only known cure. There are other options that may help treat the symptoms for short periods of time. A nasty phone call from me would be one of them, especially if you leave it on speakerphone which is optimal for me. Everyone can have courage when there is no face to face contact. You can email a Great White and tell him what a pussy he is but you sure as hell won't jump in and go for a swim. That is the analogy for what happens. I am the Great White. I will force you to jump in. I will devour you verbally. And I will Reply All.
