Virgin America Announces $109 Airfare Sale from Coast to Coast

Virgin America recently announced its "Fares to Fly By" program, offering perhaps the lowest coast-to-coast airfare prices available anywhere in years. Where normally one would expect to pay at least $300 round trip from coast to coast - and that after shopping around for awhile - Virgin America is now offering an airfare sale price of $109 each way for Los Angeles to New York flights.

Some examples of Virgin America's airfare sale prices are (all prices quoted as each way):

- San Diego to San Francisco $39
- Los Angeles to Seattle $69
- Los Angeles to Fort Lauderdale or Orlando $109
- Los Angeles to New York $109
- San Francisco to Boston $109
- Los Angeles to Washington, D.C. $109
- Los Angeles to Toronto $139
- Los Angeles to Cancun $179

Taxes run an extra $10 - $20 each way. These airfare sale prices are good for flights through March 16, 2011. As an added bonus, Virgin America is giving passengers free WiFi access from November 20, 2010 to January 2, 2011. Tickets must be purchased before midnight, November 22 and at least 7 days in advance of departure.

Virgin America has garnered a number of top awards this year. APEX's Passenger Choice Awards gave Virgin America top honors for Best Overall Passenger Experience, Best Ground Experience, Best in Region for the Americas, and Best In-Flight Connectivity and Communications.

Since Virgin America first launched in 2007, Condé Nast's Travel + Leisure magazine has bestowed upon Virgin America the "Best Domestic Airline" award for each of the three years. The award is based on a Travel + Leisure reader survey rating airlines based on cabin comfort, in-flight service, customer service, and value.
