For me, having a cell phone is essential. I don't have a land line telephone in my home, so my cell phone is literally my connection to my friends, family, and the world around me. If you plan to use your phone for e-mail, be careful with this plan since you get docked for 2 messages for each e-mail (one for the e-mail alert which lets you know you have a new message, and another one when you actually view the e-mail). The Virgin Mobile Texter's Delight plan can be used on any Virgin Mobile cell phone, but consider getting one with a keyboard like the new LG Rumor 2 if you want to get the most out of your plan. You can switch to a different plan at anytime without penalty when you use Virgin Mobile, so you won't need to sign any long-term contracts and can change to a different calling plan as your needs change.
