The advantages of going to a deer hunting lodge are several. First they almost always include hunting guides; this saves you time and effort, and increases your chance of harvesting that big buck. Also deer hunting lodges offer comfort and a good meal. Being miserable eating beans in a cold tent isn't my idea of fun hunting.
Falkland Farms Hunting Plantation and Lodge
The first Virginia deer hunting lodge is Falkland Farms which is at 1003 Falkland Landing in Scottsburg VA 24589. The lodge is a restored mansion with seven bedrooms and six restored bathrooms. You can get your meals there and they even allow pets. The farm has over 7,600 acres of land.
Not only is Falkland Farms a great Virginia deer hunting lodge, there are also turkey, duck and quail hunting in addition to fishing. What I like about Falkland Farms is that they don't overcrowd the area with hunters. This makes for safer and more successful hunting in my opinion.
Southampton Outfitters
Southampton Outfitters sits on 5,000 acres in Southampton County Virginia. You can hunt other things here but this article is about deer hunting in Virginia. They offer gun and bow hunts for deer. The land is managed for deer hunting so there are many food plots for hunting.
River Ridge Outdoors
River Ridge Outdoors is located along the New River (except it's old) in Southwest Virginia. The address is 1488 Bridle Creek Road in Independence VA 24348. This Virginia deer hunting lodge even manages bedding areas for the deer in addition to food plots. You can book three or five day hunts beginning in September.
Long's Outfitters
Long's Outfitters is located in Luray Virginia and you can call them at 540-743-7311. Long's Outfitters offers deer hunting among other services for the Virginia outdoorsman. Skinning, hide preparation and taxidermy are also part of the services offered. There are several cabins offered for lodging deer hunters.
