Whether you want to your children or yourself to learn how to play golf or if you want to perfect your swing, golf lessons can play off big time with an improved game out on the green. If you are in New River Valley, you are lucky to be near a beautiful golf course that offers lessons on a spectacular course. Virginia Tech's Pete Dye River course is located in Radford, Virginal. This is between Blacksburg, VA and Radford, VA. Its central location allows it to serve several areas in the New River Valley.

Instruction is offered on the following topics "basic fundamentals, full swing with woods or irons, chipping, putting and specialty shots, as well as club selection and course strategy".

Modes of Instruction: lessons are offered for individuals, this is a good choice for an experienced player who wants to tune up his or her game in a specific area. Group lessons are also offered. This method is popular with women and children. The course is able to tailor a clinic for your group if you contact the Head PGA Professional and ask for a specific skill to be taught.

Children's golf camps are offered in the summer. This is a great way for children to learn how to play and have a fun summer activity to participate in. Contact the course for these offerings.

Duration of Lessons: Individual lesson sessions last approx. 35-40 min. Group lessons can range from 90 minutes to 2 hours based upon what skill is being taught.
