Virginia Techs Shooters Last Words Discovered by NBC

A Message of True Rage

Andrew Berry
According to Yahoo! news, the shooter of the Virginia Tech tragedy, Cho Seung-Hui, sent a video to NBC midway through his bloody rampage on Virginia Tech. The words spoken by Cho Seung-Hui were ones of unmeasurable rage. The message was intended to hurt those with financial wealth mostly, as Cho Seung-Hui noted that as "brats", among many other hurtful things.

Here is a compilation of some of the things Cho Seung-Hui said on the video to NBC:

"You had a hundred billion chances and ways to have avoided today. But you decided to spill my blood. You forced me into a corner and gave me only one option. The decision was yours. Now you have blood on your hands that will never wash off."

"You have vandalized my heart, raped my soul and torched my conscience. You thought it was one pathetic boy's life you were extinguishing. Thanks to you, I die like Jesus Christ, to inspire generations of the weak and the defenseless people."

"Your Mercedes wasn't enough, you brats. Your golden necklaces weren't enough, you snobs. Your trust funds wasn't enough. Your vodka and cognac wasn't enough. All your debaucheries weren't enough. Those weren't enough to fulfill your hedonistic needs. You had everything."

Cho Seung-Hui also goes as far as to refer to Eric and Dylan, the shooters at Columbine, as martyrs.

Overall, Cho Seung-Hui 's package was said to contain a 1,800 word enraged rambling and 43 photos, some of the photos even showing him pointing his gun at the camera. The camera that Cho Seung-Hui used was self-setup. We know this since Cho Seung-Hui had to lean over to turn the camera off at the end of a segment.

Also, NBC notes that they got the packed Wednesday night, although the package was overnight shipping. The delay was due to the wrong zip code on the package. However, the package eventually made its way to the officers of NBC.

Once the package got to the NBC news president, they notified the FBI. The package and everything it contained is still currently being investigated by police. They are unsure, as of right now, when the movies and photos were essentially taken by Cho Seung-Hui.

I am unsure how to react to Cho Seung-Hui's movie. I can understand where his grief came from when it came to the financial status of others. Indeed, a lot of teenagers parents give them what they want. But going into a rampage is certainly not the way to express your anger, no matter what the cause. I am somewhat sympathetic to Cho Seung-Hui when it comes to his life. He, as we have been told, was a loner in college. Imagine if Cho Seung-Hui had a couple of friends, could this enraged act been prevented then?

If you're in school, take the initiatve to talk to someone who is quiet and/or lacks friends. This, in my mind, could lower the suicide rate among teens, and could essentiall save lives in the long run, and prevent another attack like this from happening again.

personaly i like the article but one problem i believe be publishing all the vidoes and displaying all the pictures up on the web and haveing this mad mans rants about his insane views on life posted every were is just fueling his fire he states that " thanks to you i die like jesus christ to inspire generations of the weak and the defenseless people" he wants people to come up and lash out if they are bullied and we just keep putting gas on the fire if you want my opion i think we should just smother the fire... thousands of years ago jesus died for our sins and we even today still talk about wat he did BECAUSE people wrote it down people talked, so years to come this mans words and beliefs are still going to be known and followed.
