Virginity for Sale: Natalie Dylan Auctions Herself for Higher Education
Not as Uncommon as One Might Think
In an interview with "The Insider," Natalie Dylan said, "I don't think auctioning my virginity will solve all my problems. But it will create some financial stability. I'm ready for the controversy, I know it will come along. I'm ready to do this."
"We live in a capitalist society. Why shouldn't I be allowed to capitalize on my virginity?" Little is known about Natalie Dylan other than the aforementioned. It is also known that she has a little debt, some of which can be attributed to her step-father, which she hopes to eliminate with the money gained from selling her first sexual experience.
Dylan is hoping to get as much as $1 million.
But if history is any indicator of her final haul, Dylan will have to settle for a far less amount. But selling virginity for higher education fees seems to be fairly common.
Back in 2007, Carys Copestake placed a personal ad on a website known to be used by prostitutes to sell their services. Headlined "Virginity For Sale £10,000", Copestake, like Natalie Dylan, was looking for money to finance her higher education. The 18-year-old was finding it difficult to raise tuition costs to attain a 4-year degree in physics at Salford University (England). According to one reporter, Copestake had found a "buyer."
Rosie Reid sold her virginity for £8,400 to pay for her tuition costs at Bristol University (England). She was also denied EBay's services. Reid, a lesbian, felt that it was a good way to ensure that she was not burdened by a £15,000 debt upon graduating with a Bachelor of Science. It was reported that a 44-year-old engineer paid for the 18-year-old's personal attention.
A Bremen, Indiana man decided after reading Reid's story that selling his virginity online might be a good idea as well. The 36-year-old farmer, however, was not after higher education financing. Nor was he looking for money to pay off old college debts. Merle Montgomery simply wanted to raise enough money to buy an $8000 Honda all-terrain vehicle.
Sirius satellite radio shock jock Howard Stern was rumored to be presiding over the auction of Natalie Dylan. However, Stern and his publicists deny having anything to do with the auction, but did interview Dylan.
To prove that she is a virgin to the winner of the auction, Natalie Dylan is willing to undergo a gynecological exam and take a polygraph test.

Post a CommentReal virginity is given to us when we are born and even if cosmetic surgery is advanced you will never get your real virginity back. Usually a girl is raised with the thought of giving her virginity to someone she loves. I think virginity is very precious and everyone should value such a wonderful gift.

So many dumb comments. At any point I'd have considered myself lucky to be able to sell my virginity for much less. Instead, I'll have to work for almost a lifetime to make what she'll make in one evening. All for a social construct that makes the first time much more special than it should be.
