Rebecca Said
The Visa Egg credit card is currently offering a zero-percent interest rate for one year on all transfer balances. For all new purchases they will provide a zero-percent interest rate for 3 months. If you have debt on another high-interest credit card, this may be a good time to transfer it over to the Visa Egg card. In addition, the Visa Egg credit card offers many benefits, cash back and prizes.

With the instant cash back benefit, you can save money immediately. They have a list of pre-approved companies where you will get cash back each time you make a purchase. These will change but currently they include certain DVD rentals, travel reservation, Joe Browns clothing, Fig Leaves clothing, electronics store, gift store, Virgin Wines, 1-800 flowers and an astronomy store. The Visa Egg credit card company also gives out several prizes each year, like once in a lifetime trips to exotic places around the world. Egg card will also provide discounts when you use your card to travel. This benefit includes certain travel agencies, auto rentals, airport parking and photo processing.

On the down side, the interest rate goes up to 16.9% after the introductory offer. If you stay with the Visa Egg card for one year, they will give you a similar offer of zero-percent interest to celebrate your anniversary date. The Egg card also provides a guarantee on your online shopping, fraud monitoring and 24 hr online account management.

Egg and CITI have recently merged to offer a large amount of services that include banking, investing and insurance. In the banking arena they offer Egg money, savings accounts, Visa Egg credit card, egg loans, mortgages and money management help. In the investments service Egg offers both investment and wealth management service. You can also purchase different types of insurance with Egg. These include PruHealth with Egg, Life and Critical insurance, Home, Motor, Travel and Egg Emergency Cover.

With Egg money you actually pre-pay money into your Egg money account. This works as if it is both a savings and credit card account in one. As long as your account has a credit, you will be earning interest. When you spend more than is in your account, you will be charged a 7.9-percent interest rate. With an account that is strictly a savings account with Egg, you will earn a 5.75-percent interest rate. They also offer quick Egg loans and can choose to take anywhere from 6 months to 7 years to repay. Egg offers fixed rate, discount and flexible mortgages. Another interesting service Egg offers is the money management program. You can use it to check balances of your Visa Egg Credit card and credit cards you have with other credit companies.

The Visa Egg credit card offers many benefits and may be worth taking a closer look at.
