Visine is the most widely known and used eye drop company in the United States, and they offer many different types of eye drops, such as Visine Tears, Visine A.C., Visine For Contacts, etc... The product that I will be writing about will be the Visine Original eye drops. Visine Original eye drops are known for their slogan "Gets The Red Out", and that is exactly what they do. Visine Original eye drops give you fast acting relief for irritated eyes from causes such as dust, swimming, smoke, and other airborne pollutants.
Many people, including myself, have used Visine Original eye drops to regain the moisture in their eyes after long stretches of reading, or using a computer. Dry eyes are also a very common reason to use Visine Original eye drops. I have also used them after a night of little sleep, when they often times burn from being so tired, and Visine Original eye drops takes that burn away, and refreshes my eyes. Visine Original eye drops will cost you around $7.39 for a 1 ounce bottle, in most drug stores.
Equate is a brand that you can find in Wal-Mart stores, and is often just as good as their competitors. Equate sterile eye drops give you fast acting relief for irritated eyes from causes such as dust, swimming, smoke, and other airborne pollutants. They are a redness reliever that starts working immediately after you insert the drops into your eyes.
Both Equate sterile eye drops and Visine Original eye drops are a solution made of tetrahydrozoline, and they work virtually identically. The main difference between the two products is their pricing. While you'll pay $7.39 for a 1 ounce bottle of Visine Original eye drops in most drug stores, you will only have to pay less than half of that for Equate sterile eye drops found in Wal-Mart, and Sam's Club stores exclusively.
I have actually used one drop of Visine Original eye drops in one eye, and used Equate sterile eye drops in the other eye, and I honestly could not tell the difference between the two brands of eye drops. It is not always the best decision to go with the cheaper brand in other products, but in this comparison of Equate sterile eye drops, and Visine Original eye drops, there really is no difference except in price. It is my suggestion to you, that you purchase the less expensive Equate sterile eye drops next time you are purchasing eye drops, rather than paying for the Visine name.
