I really believed,
you had eyes in the back of your head,
and magic in the palm of your hand,
perhaps a crystal ball that told you what would happen to me,
if I wandered down the wrong path.
You knew which way to lead me,
to keep me walking straight and true.
You had ways to heal me,
that no doctor, in all their school learned knowledge, could mimic.
I often wondered if you really slept at all,
when you magically appeared at my bedside,
as I awoke from a bad dream,
and found you already there, to soothe me.
Yours was and is the vision that guides me in my life.
