If you're like me, you can't wait until it's time for the Colorado State Fair. I'm excited for the rodeo, the concerts, the people, the vendors and of course the food. I usually browse the vendors and end up purchasing my yearly hand-made bag. I stuff myself full of all the different kinds of food. Most of the concerts that I've ever gone to were at the Colorado State Fair. The fair is located in Pueblo, Colorado and happens August 24th- September 3rd. Out of town? The Colorado State Fair is definitely worth the trip. The fair is an exceptional place to go for a small visit or an extended vacation. There are different events and attractions that happen each day. You can just walk the sidewalks and see different performers, shops and food. You can find items like: handmade bags and jewelry, paintings, hats, stickers, knick-knacks, anything else that you want.

There are games where you can win stuffed animals for the kids. You could even win your very own goldfish! You might even stop in for the rides. The Colorado State Fair is fun for singles, couples and families alike.

Most people that go to the fair are going to see the rodeo. These are the best rodeos around. Not a rodeo fan? The concerts and the demo derbies aren't bad either. Watch cars smash into each other and enjoy a beverage while you have some good old fashioned fun. If you are more of the kind of person to join in on the fun, you could also get your own demo car going and get smashed up yourself. Concerts this year include: Josh Turner, Clay Walker, Daughtry, Weird Al Yankovich, Peter Frampton, All-American Rejects, Los Lonely Boys, Doobie Brothers, and Ted Nugent. As you can see there is a concert for every different music taste.

Also on the Fair's agenda are: pig races, free concerts, petting zoo (great for the kids), and much more.

The Colorado State Fair is open from 10am to Midnight throughout the course of the fair. So come one, come all! Tickets are on sale now, so buy up! You can contact ticket master for tickets or buy at the door - whichever way is most convenient to you. Admission for adults is $8 Friday through Sunday, $5 Monday through Thursday, and kids 6 and under are free.
