Nearby Concord is Kannapolis, This is where you will find the Dale Earnhardt statue that is dedicated to him in Cannon Village. This is a life size bronze statue. You can have your photo taken beside him.

In concord you can find a mine called Reed's Gold Mine where you can actually pan for gold. You may get lucky and find the gold nugget that will make you rich.
