Historic down town Logan Ohio has so much to offer. You will enjoy the picturesque views, the rolling Hocking Hills, and the hidden charms of this All- American small town. Logan Ohio is nestled among the world renowned Hocking Hills. Logan is a short thirty minute drive from Columbus. Logan is the home of Nashville recording artist, famous for the song, "You Just Can't Have Christmas Without Jesus". Olympic Gold Medalist Katie Smith also was born and raised in Logan. Her father is a dentist in this tiny town. Logan is additionally the home of the worlds largest washboard, and has the worlds last operational washboard factory.

Logan Ohio offers art, country charm and fantastic shopping and dining in addition to the unbeatable hiking opportunities. Logan has beautiful art work on display publically. Pottery is hot in the Hocking Hills, and it is evident in downtown Logan. Recently a series of terrific murals has been started . The Bowen House is a great place to stop and check out local displays. The Logan Art Gallery offers pottery, paintings, jewelry and art classes.

Worthington Park is a peaceful and serene park set in downtown Logan. It is a lovely place for people watching or a picnic. Logan offers great downtown dining options, The Spotted Owl is charming and affordable. Great sandwiches, coffees and appetizers await you at the Spotted Owl Café. Everything on the menu is priced under nine dollars. Directly across the street you will find Julie's Café. This is a great local restaurant, featuring chef David Schaffer. Julie's is charming and delicious. It will fast become a family favorite. For fine dining check out The Sandstone. The Sandstone is lovely, elegant and unique.

For floral shopping Flowers by Darlene and the Natures Nest are both wonderful, and located on Main Street. You can shop for clothing, art , odds and ends, tatoos, sports memorabilia, movies, and so much more in downtown Logan.

Logan is a quiet old town. It is a lovely place to visit, or relocate to. Crime is virtually non existant, and the people are friendly. Logan is host to the Ice Festival, where you can view lovely ice sculptures. Also the annual Winter Hike is hosted at Old Mans Caves in January. The Wash Board Festival is held in June each year. Logan and the surrounding areas participate in a variety of fairs, festivals and community activities. When visiting the area , be sure to stop by the Visitors Center, for information about the area and local happenings.
