If you are looking for a lovely bottle of wine, at an affordable price look no further than the Johnson Estate winery. Johnson Estate wines are made in Westfield New York. If you have never indulged your palate and mind with a wine from the The Lake Erie region, you don't know what you are missing!

As I have grown older, I have not only learned the art of drinking wine, and I have developed quite a taste for wine. I enjoy the fact that each bottle of wine is alive, and the flavor varies depending on the day it is opened.

As I discovered the Johnson Estate Winery in a small town on the south shore of Lake Erie in New York, I have pretty much sworn off of drinking another wineries products. I love that the estate has been in operation for over two hundred years, and that the family grows the grapes, and makes the wine on site. If you are in the area of Erie Pennsylvania, you can take a short drive and end up in Westfield New York.

You will run across many area wineries and vineyards, but please hold out for the Johnson Estate vineyards, in my opinion this is by far the best vineyard in the Lake Erie wine region. Not only is the Estate beautiful, but also the Johnson family is helpful and quite knowledgeable about the art of wine making and drinking. You will enjoy the tasting room as well as the fantastic gift shop.

I like that you can save the trip to New York and order over the INTERNET or phone. To me, this is a life saver, as I exclusively drink Johnson Estate Wines now, and they are difficult to find in my area. I am a fan of every wine they produce.

Maybe I am just a romantic, but when I uncork a lovely wine, I feel that I can taste the weather, I can taste the story of the workers who picked the grapes and I can taste over two hundred years of art and experience, as well as history in each bottle.

Many people do not understand how Lake Erie can produce such marvelous wines. The conditions of this region are superb for growing grapes, long sunlight days combined with the lake effect of cool breezes, and the ideal gravel soil conditions create a grape growers paradise.

You are sure to love and appreciate the fine hand crafted wines of the Johnson estate family farm. If you enjoy a lovely wine, this is a label you will want to try.
