Visit Marvellous Hill Station of Mahabaleshwar Near Mumbai, India

There are many hill stations located near the city of Mumbai. Mahabaleshwar is one such hill station that attracts the visitors from all over the country. The points like Karnak point, Falkland point, Tiger point, Malcolm porch, Wilson point, Cuts point, Dhobi falls, Lord Wick point, Savitri point, Suicide point, and Chinamen water falls are to be visited. All these points are located within a distance of around 5 miles from the center of the city of Mahabaleshwar. The points like Savitri point, Karnak point, and the Dhobi falls are really the most worth seeing points amongst all these points. The forest all around this beautiful hill station is really dense and there are many tigers, snakes, and other wild animals. The market of Mahabaleshwar is really beautiful and passes through the main lane of the town. All types of fruits Jams and jellies are available here. In particular, the strawberries jam of Mahabaleshwar is very famous. There are number of factories of such jams in the outskirts of Mahabaleshwar. These are worth seeing. Moreover, the stores located at the factory give considerable discounts on the purchases made here. Lot of honey is produced in the forest near the Mahabaleshwar. Hence, the pure honey is available at very reasonable rates here.

There are two Mahabaleshwar, one is old and the other is new. Malcolm point is the center of new town. The old town is situated at around 6 miles away from this Malcolm point. There are couples of ancient temples also at Mahabaleshwar. These temples are of Lord Shiva. All the points can be visited depending upon your own convenience either on horse or by car or on feet. The walk to all these points is very pleasant as it is passing through the thick forests. The weather here remains quiet cool all throughout the year. It is most favorable in early part of the winter. The monsoon is very severe here and it may not be advisable to visit this hill station during these monsoon months from July to September. However, some tourists visit this hill station specifically during the rainy season to experience the most pleasant walk through the forest in rains.
