The Portland's Saturday Market actually starts in March and runs through Christmas Eve. The market is open on Saturdays from 10am-5pm and on Sundays from 11am-4:30pm. The Portland's Saturday Market, held in Portland's Historic Old Town/Chinatown, has been supporting and honoring artists since 1974. The market is also a tax free shopping event for all to take pleasure in and admission is Free! You will receive a Smart Park ticket for Two hours of free parking if you spend $25.00 at the Saturday Market and if you ride the Tri-Met you will receive a free pass home with your purchase.
The Saturday Market hosts more than 300 artists selling their own handmade artwork! There is a variety of quality art, crafts, jewelry, pottery and so much more, at the Portland's Saturday Market! You will truly find that one of a kind piece to add to your own collection or to give as gifts. The artistic qualities of these unique handmade varieties are simply treasures that will bring a memory to the heart of the visit to the Portland's Saturday Market. Many other artistic pieces include baby items, body products, candles, clothing and accessories, gardens, musical instruments, pet items, and toys and the list could go on. There truly is something special to be found at the Portland's Saturday Market.
You can also find massages to relax those weary muscles and relieve stress tension. So be sure to stop in and get a massage because it is so relaxing and rejuvenating.
The first Sunday of every month, the Portland's Saturday Market embraces kids in fun filled activities that will surely delight children for Free. Projects are always different and unique like making musical items and puppets, for example. Other activities included environmental, animal and ecosystem awareness through games and play.
For Lunch, enjoy many different international food choices in the food court, like Greek cuisine, Pizza, spring rolls, Creole BBQ, vegetarian foods from the Himalayas, British pub, Hawaiian cuisine, taste of Poland, Thai, Beirut Café, Elephant Ears, bakery, espresso's and so much more. The aromas will simply take over your senses and delight the taste buds. On the main Stage in the food court, Portland's Saturday Market features musical performances with 2 musical artists or bands showcasing their talents per day.
