This hotel is probably not the newest you have ever checked into but the staff is just about the friendliest. The front desk folks are very helpful, and can provide directions to just about anywhere. Any questions regarding eateries, movies, shopping, whatever, they can help. The rooms are always clean and the hot "Bright Side Breakfast" is great!
No matter when I have reserved a room for family (once for me too), the rate is always a reasonable $65.00. It doesn't even seem to matter which room I choose, -- full, double full, king, no matter; it's always a good deal! The beds are super comfortable and the bedding is crisp, fresh and up to date. There is good floor space, and plenty of room to spread out. Desk space is ample and Wi-Fi is free.
Close by is the San Jacinto Mall which has a movie theater and a well manned food court with everything from ice cream to Chinese food and pizza. The San Jacinto Mall also has a full-sized Merry-Go-Round in the upper level that is perfect for kids of all ages. The Mall provides photos of your ride for a nominal fee making this trip a 'Kodak memory' to be sure!
With a short drive one can head out to NASA, or San Jacinto Monument. Galveston is about 45 minutes away, and Kemah Boardwalk about 35 minutes, -- and remember the La Quinta staff can provide directions. (They even know the best route to the International Airport, or Hobby Airport.)
As always La Quinta is pet friendly and there is no additional pet fee.
The La Quinta in Baytown has a fitness facility, conference rooms, and accommodations for large groups. This hotel is a good location for family vacations as well as reunions. The hotel is close to Houston which makes it easy to go downtown and visit museums or amusement areas. As mentioned above Galveston is about 45 minutes away. A day fishing or sight seeing is easy to enjoy, and then return to the Baytown West La Quinta for a comfy night.
Although Baytown is full of hotels and motels, the La Quinta is about the best value for the comfort conscious traveler. Plan to stay for a day while traveling through the area, or make reservations for a family get-together and enjoy the Baytown area. No matter how long your visit I am sure you will enjoy the Baytown La Quinta.
Come soon, then, come often!
