I live in south Georgia and the Valdosta Dead Inn has quite a scary reputation in this area. One for hauntings, fear, evil and all that go bump in a dark and deep night. Looking for a fun south Georgia Halloween haunting thrill? Look no further. It is here.
The Valdosta Georgia Dead Inn has quite a reputation. One of fear and ghostly haunting legend. In 1907, the Connor-McIntyre wedding took place. The wedding mystery deaths haunt this place to this very day. Why? Well, it seems much of the wedding party was never seen again. What happened to them? Ah, that is the eternal and supernatural mystery. Did they die? And, if so, why? No answers have been found yet. When you look this site up, the actual place where this all happened, you will see real newspaper reports about it. They are chilling and no answers are found. Only the remnants of a ghostly mystery. One that begs to be set free and answered finally.
A lunar eclipse occurred the next morning, after the fated wedding ceremony. Oh, by the way, did I mention that this hotel is on an ancient Indian burial ground? Yes. Many bones of women and children were found on this very site. That makes for a spiritual uprising and quite a disturbance. Understandably so. Indians indeed inhabited this land. Back to the haunting, Ursula, the bride, is said to haunt this hotel. Warning others of her newly wedded fate. Whatever that was.
The Dead Inn is located on highway 41. It opens on October 29, 2011, for ghost seeking visitors. Beware. The motto for this inn is "You'll never sleep again." Important words to remember. This fun hotel can be found in the five points district of Valdosta, Georgia. The wedding mystery turned tragedy haunts this inn to this very day. Do you want to be a part of it? If you do, you can visit the Valdostadeadinn.com website. And, be frightened. Very frightened by what awaits you at this haunted place. A Halloween lovers dream. Or nightmare. One thing about it, excitement and intrigue await you there. Tickets are on sale now.
Oh, did I mention that there is more? There is. The Valdosta dark place. Well, you will see, when you go there. Lots of hauntingly Halloween ghostly fun and fear. You just have to see it, hear it and run from it, to know it truly exists. Are you brave enough? Maybe. This place is not recommended for kids under the age of thirteen. So, be aware. There are family friendly tours, the kids inn site, available for those families with young children. This is not a joke. It is a real Halloween supernatural experience. Can you handle it? That remains to be seen.
The Valdosta Dead Inn, the dark place and the haunted theater all call brave ghost hunters from everywhere. What exactly happened there? Well, no one really knows. That is why this place is such a mystery. Go forth seeking carefully. Happy Halloween!

OMG! I looooooooove this... :o)
Cool! Wish I had the time to do a spooky places road trip.
I love it! This is my kind of place to visit; for the entertainment value, history and the ghost hunt.
Bridgitte, I went to the Valdosta site and read the news clippings. I wonder what in the world happened to these people. They mentioned thinking it was a wild animal attack but I doubt that's what happened. Such a sad tale after a beautiful wedding. The groom's family lost three sons. How awful is that! Great writing.
Wow! Scary for sure! Happy Halloween!
spooky

Thanks, Sandy! :-) Happy Halloween!
It' s a little too far for me----next year, maybe.
