Visit Wildwoods Water Park in Otsego, Minnesota

The little ones will thank you for taking them to the Wildwoods Water park in Otsego, Minnesota. With so many things to do, it is a great value for the price. I brought my two year old daughter to the park and she had a blast. There is something for everyone to do, though I believe it caters more towards the little ones. It has a huge area for small kids to play in, a very large wading pool. It is all indoors, and it is open all year round.

There are three major waterslides for the bigger kids. A bowl slide, a body slide, and an inner tube side. My personal favorite is the bowl slide, it's like you are in a toilet bowl about to be flushed. All of the water slides dump you out onto the side of the lazy river, so you can either get out of the pool, or stay on your inner tube and keep riding along. The lazy river is a lot of fun, taking you around the whole park so you can observe everything. There is a couple of spots on the lazy river where there is water dripping down.

The kid play land is spectacular. It has smaller water slides and a wading pool of just a few inches for the little ones. It has a lot of things to climb on, and it looks like a tree house. Another feature of the water park is the whirlpool. It is in the shape of two pools, but they are connected. The whirlpool is quite large and it accommodates several people. There are life jackets available for the little ones, as well as there are two sizes of inner tubes to accommodate swimmers of all ages.

If you are planning a day trip to the park, there is no need to pack a lunch. At the water park, there are several options for meals. You can pick up a quick bite and sit and eat right at the park. Or, you can get changed and have a nice sit down meal. Either way, there is plenty of food options for all price ranges. If you are tired of swimming you can change and go to the arcade and play some games.

If you are staying in the Holiday Inn attached to the water park, you will receive free admission into the water park. If you are not, you will be charged admission for anyone over the age of two. If there is someone in your party who chooses not to swim you can purchase an observer pass. This pass allows the person into the water park, but not to any of the water attractions. You can sit at one of the many tables and watch. If you are a swimmer or not, I would recommend a trip to the Wildwoods Water park in Otsego, MN. It is great fun for the whole family.
