Visiting Orlando, Florida's Theme Parks
Have Fun at Any One of Orlando, Florid's Theme Parks, and Remember to Pack a Lunch!
Orlando, FL 32801
Though they are tourist traps, they can still be a lot of fun. There are many ways to reduce the amount of money you spend, and the main way is to bring your own food. The number one item people spend their money on in theme parks is food and drinks. With what you'll save through the day on food, you can afford an overpriced souvenir for your kid and still go home with money to spare.
Another piece of advice: the ticket packages are a way better deal than any of the individual prices, so if you plan on spending more than a day at any of Orlando's attractions, go for the packages. You'll save less in the long run. Use common sense, have fun, and enjoy your vacation!
Universal Studios Orlando Florida
Universal Studios Orlando is comprised of Universal's Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios Orlando. There is an all-encompassing shopping distrct called Orlando City walk that has everything from nightclubs and dining to events and concerts.
Universal Studios Orlando Flroida also has hotels on site (Portofino Hotel, hard Rock Café Hotel, and the Royal Pacific Resort), golf courses, and more. Tickets start at $60 for guests 10 and up, and around $50 for ages 3-9. This does not include any extra events or activities - just entrance into only one theme park for one day. Prices go up the longer you stay, though there are all types of packages and deals if you buy online.
Walt Disney World
Walt Disney World is the largest, privately managed tourist destination on the planet. With four theme parks (Magic Kingdom,Epcot, Disney-MGM Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom) two water parks (Disney's Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon), three shopping and dining districts, dozens of hotels, golf courses, nature walks and much more, it is one of the main reasons Orlando, Florida has become so famous.
Remember to bring everything you need, because buying it is seriously expensive. Portable coolers and bag lunches are recommended if you don't want to spend half your funds on food. Use common sense (as always) and don't get robbed. If a price sounds outrageous, it probably is. Tickets start at $60 for guests 10 and up, and around $50 for ages 3-9.
As with Universal Studios, the entrance admission doesn't include any extra events or activities - just entrance into only one theme park for one day. Prices go up the longer you stay, though there are all types of packages and deals if you buy online.
SeaWorld Orlando
Sea World Orlando is another great theme park and home to the biggest rollercoaster in the Orlando area. Sea World Orlando is popular with people from all over the world who come to see the famous Shamu and other exotic marine animals.
As always, a packed lunch is recommended as food prices are incredibly expensive. There are a number of free interactive exhibits around the park for kids and adults, and make sure you bring a waterproof camera. Tickets start at $60 for guests 10 and up, and around $50 for ages 3-9. This does not include any extra events or activities-just entrance into only one theme park for one day.
As with Universal Studios and Walt Disney World, prices go up the longer you stay, and there are all types of packages and deals if you buy online.
