Many people have been in a factory outlet a time or two and tried out different fragrances for discount prices or checked out vintage perfumes. But in this particular outlet, the girl scouts had the opportunity to find out just how fragrances were made.
They learned the differences between top notes, middle notes and base notes. The girls learned how to mix fragrances and what each machine did in order to make the fragrances safe.
You've been in a fragrance store and smelled so many perfumes and colognes that you got dizzy. The best tip to try out different fragrances is to keep coffee beans nearby. This way, once you smell a scent, sniff the coffee beans and approach the next scent without smelling the remnants of the previous perfume or cologne. The coffee beans are strong enough to distract your sense of smell.
In the Perfume Factory Outlet, the girl scouts also found out whether they gravitated more towards flowery, fruity or natural scents to create their signature scent. And every flowery scent doesn't smell the same. While some are just a little too strong, other fragrances have just the right aroma.
While the trip may sound like it's more for females than males, remember that guys buy (and own) perfumes for women, so it's also an interesting trip for guys to find out just what they like their lady friends to wear. And for those involved in science, the lab techs are around to answer questions about the power of each ingredient.
Taking a trip to the Perfume Factory Outlet was safe for kids and adults alike, but beware of children or adults who are allergic to certain ingredients in perfumes and colognes.
