Belterra, IN 47020
United States of America
Location
Belterra is actually located on the Ohio River just outside of Vevay, Indiana. The place is centrally located between four major cities in three different states: Louisville and Lexington, Kentucky; Cincinnati, Ohio; and Indianapolis, Indiana. Families come from these urban areas for the relaxation of the resort, but they also come from the various rural communities surrounding Belterra as well. Belterra is just off highway 71 and is less than five minutes from the famous Kentucky Speedway.
Visitors
Owned by Pinnacle Entertainment, Belterra has been a part of the Indiana tourism scene since October of 2000. Indianapolis natives supply the casino resort with much of its revenues, with 10 percent of cash proceeds and 11 percent of guests originating in Indianapolis. In fact, the local residents supply Belterra with much of its revenue. It's understandable when you consider that 48 million people populate a 300 mile radius around Belterra.
Attractions
In addition to the spa, salon and golf course, Belterra also offers live entertainment in the form of popular local and internationally known bands. In addition to the usual casino buffet, Belterra offers a Ben and Jerry's Shop, Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse, and even a Starbucks. The casino resort also offers shopping on the premises.
Lodging
Over 600 guest rooms await families looking for comfort after coming off the road or away from the urban chaos. Guests can choose from deluxe suites and standard rooms with double, king and queen bed accommodations. Amenities include an outdoor pool that is heated, They can visit the spa, golf course and shop as desired, but Belterra offers package deals to make these pastimes more accessible to visitors on a budget.
Considerations
Children are not allowed on the casino floor, so make arrangements for them while you enjoy Belterra's riverboat gambling facilities. No babysitting services are offered. Spa and golf outings may require appointment or a call ahead if it is not a part of your package. Bring snacks for the in-room refrigerators to reduce the food costs, especially if you have children.
