Vista Transformation Pack: Transferring from Windows XP Appearance to Windows Vista Appearance

Ace Huynh
If your computer speed does not allow you to install Windows Vista, you can still make other people curious when they saw a welcome screen of Windows Vista Ultimate or the transparent side bar in your desktop.

That is the function of Vista Transformation. It will transfer your Windows appearance to the newest version of Windows, Windows Vista. You can download the zipped file of Vista Transformation here. It is only about 35 MB of your system resource and completely free. You can install or uninstall Vista Transformation very easily.

Before starting, I recommend you to restart your computer as Safe Mode and backup your system files. In case there are some problems occur, you still can restore your files. You should also close all the anti-virus software and security software. Because this program will change a few of your system files, your anti-virus or security software might misunderstand that it is virus.

After installing Vista Transformation, you can choose some features in your Windows to change to Windows Vista look. The program will warm: "If you wish to change these settings, you need to uninstall Vista Transformation pack and reinstall again. It's recommend to restore original files before continue". You can change your Start Button Flag, About Windows, Icons Set, Tray Icons, Classic Start Menu, Remove Logoff/Shutdown Button Text, Toolbar Throbber, Progress Dialog, Toolbar Button, System Dialogs, Boot Screen... to a complete Vista appearance.

You can see the Appearance of Windows Vista Basic or Windows Aero. Normally, the transparent windows of Aero will require your system to have a little higher speed. It also acquires graphic card 64 MB and Direct 8X. The Basic does not require much. You can switch these two by go to Start > Control Panel > Appearance and Theme > Display. Choose the Appearance Tab and change it in Windows and Buttons.

At this time, all of the windows will change its colors, icons and fonts... For example: the folder icon will change from horizontal folder of XP to vertical folder of Vista, taskbar will change from bright blue to black, the font will change to Arial or Tohoma... You would love the shiny color of your windows and start bar.

The interesting of Vista Transformation is the clock and calendar. You can add a note and time to your calendar to remind you your business just like LClock of Windows Vista. However, the disadvantage of this program is its font is not very clear as the real Vista. After all, Vista Transformation will give you a flawless (except for the font!) appearance of Windows Vista.
