We all know that everything has its place where it can go. Things don't have to be thrown around every which way with piles of papers here and piles of papers there. If the papers are so important, then why haven't you done anything with them for 6 months?
Facing Reality
I want you to look around where you are right now and imagine that every little thing has a place where it can go to be organized. See yourself organizing it and having a cleaner environment. Imagine how good it feels to have everything cleaned up. See yourself going to the places to get the things you need for your day. Ah, it's relaxing to know that you don't have to live in a mess.
Let's Get Started
Imagine yourself putting in the work to get things organized. Imagine yourself deciding what you need to keep, and what you can throw away. Imagine yourself accomplishing more in a clean environment.
You Must Be Consistent With Visualization
The more you do this, the more you will feel the inner urge to actually do something about it. I can attest to the fact that you can actually get more meaningful stuff done in a clean environment, than you can in a messy one.
The More You Visualize, The Better You'll Be
See yourself getting sweaty when you're organizing; you're sweating because it's hard work. Remember, things didn't get messy overnight; so don't be hard on yourself if you don't get everything cleaned up right away.
Visualize One Step At A Time
Take care of it in little pieces. Clean up a little here one day and clean up a little there the next. When you've been living in a mess for so long, it takes a little getting used to the idea of having everything cleaned up and organized.
Imagine how much better you'll feel when it's all organized and then you won't be living in filth anymore. Imagine the things that you'll be able to accomplish because you will be better able to focus and concentrate on the tasks at hand.
This is the first step to living a more meaningful and purposeful life.
