Better or easier absorption for older adults and children is one advantage of liquid vitamins. Liquid vitamins may taste worse than chewable tablet forms with flavoring, but they are easier to absorb. Liquid vitamins for children and even adults now have flavoring to make them easier to take. There have been cases in which children have problems with choking, breathing and swallowing simply because of their inability to absorb medication or vitamins in the tablet form. The same problem may also happen to older adults.
Liquid vitamins are more effective because they can be assimilated immediately into the blood stream. The liquid form can also be three to five times more concentrated than vitamin pills. This more concentrated form can lead to higher therapeutic benefits and a healthier outcome.
Do liquid vitamins contain antioxidants as well? Vitamins E, C and A are examples of antioxidants and they are commonly found in vitamin supplements but what about liquid vitamins? Antioxidants are our main defense against effects of damaging oxidation reactions. Without them, we are basically weaker and less healthy. The most important of all antioxidants - Vitamins A, C and E - are not internally produced by the body so they must be part of our diet. Are we eating the correct foods for these essential vitamins? Maybe we are and maybe we're not. An insurance policy, vitamins supplements, would be a wise course of action. Yes, the three critical antioxidant vitamins are in liquid vitamins.
Liquid vitamins have no difficulty with the digestive juices of the stomach. In fact our digestive system actually prefers the liquid form. It is able to better absorb liquid vitamins and minerals better than a pill or in capsule form.
A vitamin pill or tablet has to be digested completely before it can be of benefit to the human body. It must be broken down into absorbable nutrients. Liquid vitamins provide a better and easier solution for the digestive system. Because the liquid form does not depend on mechanical digestion, an estimated 90% of it can be absorbed directly by the body.
It's vital to remember that our digestive system does not mainly function to destroy vitamins and minerals but rather to transform them into substances it can use to improve the general constitution and health of the body.
You have a choice. At the end of the day, it's still up to you whether or not you wish to take vitamin supplements in liquid or solid form. What really matters is what you prefer and which will ultimately work better for you, liquid form or tablet form.
