Viva Pinata - Trouble in Paradise: Game Review

Game Fantastic

Liza Almodovar
If you are a computer game buff, you spend a lot of money on PC games. Some are not worth a farthing, but some are way out of the mark. And Viva Pinata - Trouble in Paradise is one of them and a truly fantastic game too. You can play it for long hours and still won't have enough of it. It is a whole lot better than those wonderful games Infinite Undiscovery and Square-Enix. There are many Pinatas that one can love and admire and the new avatars and Jeli is one of them. He is an enormous Yeti inhabiting the Snow area of the great game.

While playing this game, you are always on the lookout for the many breeds of Pinatas that abound there. If you want to get hold of a Pinata for your garden, you can either look for them in the Dessert Desert or Pentarctic. There are breeds that are old or new, you can take your pick. There are baits and traps to catch them like you do with Pokémon and Pokeballs although you can't always be successful with them. However, this gives a strange twist to the game.

You see your lovely garden spread out before you, but there are creatures like Sour Pirates and Ruffians out there to ruin it. Besides these, the game is full of new things and when the whole of them are let loose, it really thickens the plot. You can sit before your monitor and can play for any length of time with all those Piñatas, sour and otherwise, ruffians, new plants and the whole works.

But all is not well, everything has its drawbacks. For instance, it is exceedingly hard to find the rare, novel Chocolodocus. To make matters worse, within the confines of the game it is rains a lot. If you happen to live in a country where it often rains, it really gets on your nerves. The only consolation is the fact that you need not take the trouble to water all the plants present in the game-environment. May be the Pinatas are getting miserable due to the adverse weather. But when Redhot gets wet in the rain, it seems that he is shedding tears like nobody's business.

One gets melancholy at all this. Still, playing it is real fun. Some might think that this is a game for children; it is not at all so. In fact folk irrespective of age are captivated by all the Pinalta crowd. So if you want to play a new game, quite different from the ones that are dished out today in plenty, go for Viva Piñata Trouble in Paradise. Some might not like the rather feminine quality of the game, but it is only superficial. It is a truly fantastic game offering hours and hours of fun and enjoyment.
