Vivarium

M.G. Weiss
Beyond the thick glass wall,
is a giant wooden bookshelf
filled with leather bound books
far too big for me to read.

Beyond the thick glass wall,
is a giant marble floor
made of white and gray tiles,
too far for me to reach.

Beyond the thick glass wall,
are giant curious people
with large houses, and new cars;
they view me with awe.

Beyond the thick glass wall,
is a near endless world
with monolithic trees and vast rivers;
greener, clearer than what I've known.

Beyond the thick glass wall,
I see myself at a table, sleeping,
waiting to be woken up.
Frantically, I start tapping the glass.

    Great submission Michael!! I am a Content Producer at AC with over 3,100 pieces of published content (and slowly working my way up to two million page views). If you keep writing like this, you'll soon bypass me! Great job and welcome to AC!!
