So, let's start with the pictures. There are a few adjustable options on the camera. You can choose to shoot in either Auto-Focus, Portrait, Person, Landscape, Sports, Night, or Video Mode. These settings should be used wisely. If you are trying to take a picture of the ocean, using Sports Mode will give you a bad picture. The only mode that is pretty much universal is the Auto-Focus. You can also choose to shoot in Color, Black & White, or Sepia. You can choose what size you want your picture to be (640x480, 1280x960, 2048x1536, 2560x1920). Of course, a smaller size will mean that you can take more pictures. You can also adjust the exposure and the white balance.
There are also many flaws to the Vivitar ViviCam5385. One major flaw is that, even on sports mode, where the shutter speed is the fastest, the shutter speed is much too slow. If the camera is moving at all, the shots come out blurry. It also takes too long for the picture to actually take. When you press the shutter button, the camera will not take the photo until it is focused. This can take up to five seconds, and if you are with anyone who isn't patient, you won't see them in any of your pictures. This is a nice camera, but it doesn't shoot well enough.
Another flaw is that, if you don't use perfectly white light, the color pictures will often turn out orange. This can be remedied by shooting outdoors. This camera has a few flaws, but it is worth the money. By the way, this camera costs about $80.
I would rate this camera a 6 out of 10. It shoots high-resolution pictures, and they look great, but they take long to shoot. I would only buy this camera if your budget is $80. If you have any more money than that, upgrade to a better model. I like this camera, and I hope you will too, but if you have any more money than this for purchasing a camera, get a different one.
