Product Overview:
The styling on the SV470XVT sets it apart from the pack. It looks as though it has taken some design cues from the Sony Bravia line of televisions. The glossy black frame isn't as reflective as some, but it is thin and maintains a relatively low profile. The same can be said about the base. It is a little deep but maintains a relatively thin footprint compared to the screen size. The two stereo speakers can be found at the base of the bezel and produce what I would consider decent acoustics. I feel that the average consumer will be please with the audio quality from this product.
The image quality that is generated is displayed at a 1080p resolution. I found that it presented bluray disks played from an HDMI connected Playstation 3 very clear. It also handled standard definition television surprisingly well. The 120hz refresh rate is notable especially during gaming and while watching sporting events. I experienced no motion blur however there was a bit of a jittering sensation but it was rare and can be experienced with most new 120hz televisions. I feel that almost all consumers will be more than satisfied with the SV470XVT's picture.
With 4 HDMI inputs spread about this television I found it to integrate into my home's entertainment system very well. I was able to use the VGA connection to easily sync this television to my laptop creating a huge monitor! I used a Bluetooth keyboard and mouse to play computer games at 120hz. The experience was fantastic and I highly recommend this television to gamers.

Available online and in the stores at major electronics retailers at an average price point just under $1400 I feel that this next generation LCD is a steal. If you're the type of person who has to have the next best thing then you're used to paying a fortune for it. Luckily Vizio has brought affordability to 120hz televisions.
