Lady Gaga's Split Personality Got Her on Best, Worst Dressed List

The Video Music Awards 2010 red, white carpet fashions are among the hottest in Hollywood. The best and worst dressed celebrities is always the talk of tinseltown directly following a major awards show. Here are some of this year's fashion highlights, and let us know what you think

WORST DRESSED

Starting with the worst first, the absolute worst dress at the VMA Awards was Lady Gaga's meat dress. Some may call it artistic, but I call it disgusting. Can you imagine how that smelled? That being said, if she would have made a dress that LOOKED like it was made of meat, this actually might have been a bit better look. Although creative, this evoked a gag rather than a standing ovation.

Glee's Jane Lynch doesn't have good luck when it comes to making fashion lists. This year, her tux inspired pantsuit wasn't a very good look. She would have fared better with the fashion critics if she had wore her signature track suit!

Jenna Jameson could have made the best dressed look, but instead of dressing up her lilac dress with some fashionable shoes, she opted for some stripper heels. As if we didn't already know which industry she works in!

BEST DRESSED

Lady Gaga was on the best dressed list as well, wearing a dress by the late Alexander McQueen. McQueen's suicide was a devastating blow to Lady Gaga, who loves his fashion sense. Gaga will likely hold on to this dress, as it is in his last collection.

Selena Gomez was an absolute doll in her silver gown. She was age appropriate and very classy as well. The Wizards of Waverly Palace star didn't go over the top, and it really paid off.

Sofia Vergara didn't look like the mother of an 18 year old wearing her black sequined mini dress. She looked absolutely smoking hot, and I, for one, can't think of a dress that would have accentuated her look any better.

Of course, best and worst dressed is subjective. As you can see, it's not the stars who make the list - it's their attire. Lady Gaga is perfectly capable of making the Best Dressed list every time she steps out on to the red (or white) carpet. However, she insists on wearing bizarre things like meat suits and bubble wrap, and that's just not going to fly with very many fashion critics.
