Vodka Cocktail Ideas for a 4th of July Party Celebration

Mike C.
If you are like many Americans, July 4th means celebrations, fireworks, and cookouts. While you're all chatting and hanging out, allow your guests to beat the heat this July 4th with some fun Vodka drinks that are quick and easy to make. The following are some of my favorite Independence Day alcoholic drinks made with Vodka.

Red, White, & Blue Shots:

These shots are fun to make because of the color layering.

You will need:

1/2 oz Grenadine Syrup

1/2 oz Smirnoff Vodka

1/2 oz Blue Curacao

In a shot glass, pour the Grenadine first. Next, slowly pour the Curacao in. Do the same with the Vodka last. Make sure you get all this drink down in one go.

All-American:

This drink features 3 layers: red, white, and blue. It is a very fun and refreshing drink to serve to your guests. If you're in a sunny, hot area, this drink will melt quickly of course, but it's neat and tasty nonetheless.

You will need:

Blue Layer:

3/4 oz Vodka

1 1/2 oz Sour Mix

Blueberries

Red Layer:

3/4 oz Vodka

Strawberries

White Top:

Whipped Cream

Mix each layer separately and blend each with ice. You will want it to become thick. Then take each layer and pour into a hurricane glass,. Blue goes first, then red. Top with whipped cream, a cherry, and even an American flag for decoration.

Lemonade:

Lemonade is a traditional summertime drink, so why not shake things up by adding some vodka to the recipe. This is by far the simplest drink I know of to serve at any summer party.

You will need:

2 oz Vodka (Absolut Citron optional)

4 oz Lemonade

Shake up the vodka and lemonade with ice. Pour into a high ball glass and garnish with a lemon and/or cherry.
