Volume Tips for Fine Hair

Virginia Chavez

Fine hair can be a blessing if you like volume. It's lighter in texture and is easiest to ramp up with teasing and volumizing products.

The only downside to teasing and using volume products is that they can leave a heavy, hay-like texture behind.

Less is more.

To avoid this, use a small amount of those products. It's a common misconception that more product means it will work better, but that is false. Use only a very small amount.

Wash daily.

If your hair is naturally oily, wash it every day. Excess oil can weigh hair down. Look into clarifying shampoos too, they'll remove build up left behind from your regular shampoo and conditioner.

Switch up shampoos and conditioners.

This will trick your hair into a little more life too. Using the same formulas repeatedly, for extended periods of time, will naturally form a build up on your scalp and hair follicle. So switch it up!
