Currently Community Action is looking for volunteers to assist Head Start pre-school teachers. Since many of the children speak only Spanish, both Spanish and English language skills are required. Jackson Bottom Wetlands Preserve is a 710 acre Nature Preserve with a new Wetlands Education Center and exhibit hall. There are plenty of opportunities for wildlife viewing, education, landscaping and habitat restoration.

Hillsboro Parks and Recreation is committed to providing quality facilities, programs and services that bring people together and enhance the livability of the Hillsboro community.
