How important is it to you to make a difference in the lives of others? How often have you sat there wondering what you can do to help those that are need? Well, if these are questions that you tend to ask yourself and you have some extra time on your hands, you may consider volunteering. Angeles National Forest

Do you love nature? If this is true, you may want to volunteer at the Angeles National Forest. If you want to help with the kids with anything from chaperoning to caring for tiny wounds, they would love to have you there. They especially like to see others that have a certain expertise, to volunteer. That is not necessary, though. They invite all sorts of people to volunteer, so if this seems interesting enough; you know exactly what to do.

Los Angeles Regional Food Bank

If you believe that feeding the hungry is the most important way to volunteer, perhaps taking a look at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank as your option, would be best for you. You would be asked to help with boxing and distributing food. They even ask that businesses take part in the volunteering, as well. They will learn from one another, enhance their teamwork ability, shares compassion even in the workplace. There are so many ways that you can benefit, being a volunteer. Covenant House

How does helping hurting, homeless and helpless teenagers sound? The Covenant House takes kids off the streets to help them obtain a better lifestyle for their future. These are runaways that don't have anywhere to go, then on the streets. You can volunteer in many ways. Be a mentor or even help in the kitchen. Braille Institute

Wanting to help the less fortunate? There are ways that you can give back to the community. If you are willing to give at least two hours a week and are 16 years old or older, then they definitely need you. You may or may not work with anyone, but it all depends on your experience, expertise and of course your interest.
