How can Mc Cain describe himself as a Maverick and a Fiscal conservative after supporting the bailout swindle?? He no longer can be seen as an expert in economics but only as a team player with the government--banking complex. It is now almost impossible for him to attract voters who believe in the free market system and responsible government. The only way that he can be elected is by constantly talking about national security and the Iranian threat in the Middle--East. If he can get enough Americans frightened they will look to him as an experienced warrior who can defeat the foe. But his call to arms might not be loud enough to make him our next president.

Post a CommentI agree that the working class receives something via the trickle down policy, but that something is not money. I'll give you a hint. It stinks until it dries out and the flies love it.
Search for Emergency Economic Stabilization Act on the web and browse it. The act gives the government the opportunity to get back all the money plus a hefty interest of 10% or more. The conservatives believe in promoting the welfare of the rich with tax incentives and bail outs while ignoring the welfare of the middle class and poor. Their statement about the phrase "promoting the welfare" referring to defense rings hollow when one considers all the breaks they give to the executives of big business. The conservatives would prefer to watch the poor people of the world suffer during a deep recession or even a depression while the rich executives walk away with millions of dollars in bonuses. They have a real contempt for the poor. The bail out might increase the national deficit, but it would not result in more taxes.
The "bailout swindle" may have cost the taxpayers, but it may also have saved the banks where some of us have our life savings!
