Vreel: The Next Generation of Music and Video Sharing

PB
Vreel Media was created on May 31, 2008 by Eoghan Hayes. Vreel is an online video sharing website where users are able to upload high definition videos and music. Unlike popular video sharing sites like YouTube, Dailymotion, and Veoh, Vreel allows the users to upload videos up to eight and a half gigabytes and music up to 50 megabytes in size. Vreel supports more formats than any other online service including DivX5.x encoded video, DivX6.x encoded video, XviD1.x encoded video, and h.264 encoded video. Support for all these codecs can be utilized with their proprietary VLC-based web player.

Currently, it is in public beta 2. Beta 2 offers users the option to access full-features through two account types: gold and platinum. The gold account allows users to upload videos up to 4GB in size, 10gb bandwidth, unlimited image gallery storage, unlimited mp3 storage (20 megabyte max file size per mp3),and limited advertisements. The platinum account lets users upload videos up to 8.5GB in size with100gb bandwidth, unlimited image gallery storage, unlimited mp3 storage (50 megabyte max file size per mp3),and limited advertisements.

Among some of the notable features offered in beta 2 is its community system. Visitors can chat online, share content with friends, and create groups where people with similar interests can post and discuss their content. Although much remains uncertain about the future success of Vreel, one thing is for certain: Vreel Media is a one-of-a-kind business that offers users the next generation of digital content.
