VTech V.Smile TV Learning System

Amy Witthohn
We purchased a VTech V.Smile TV learning system for our daughters for Christmas. This system is awesome!!!! Not only do my daughters love playing, but all of the games are educational and feature characters that they love.

This system best suits ages 3-8, and there are age appropriate games to buy. The games actually grow with your child offering a beginners and advanced setting to choose from. The system is available in two colors orange and pink. One controller actually comes with the system and the game Alphabet Park Adventure which my daughters love. A ac adapter is included with the system, as well as everything you need to hook it to your television. There is a storage area for your games, and the system can run on 3 C batteries for travel. I hook ours to the portable dvd player in the car.You can buy additional controllers the average price is around 14.99, and you can also buy additional games, with many titles to choose from. The games cost around 19.99.

The controller is a joystick with a large enter button, and 4 color buttons that feature the colors Red, Yellow, Blue, and Orange. It is also adaptable for right and left handed children. All of the games are educational and the children have so much fun playing games with their favorite characters. And you will have a smile on your face when you hear them counting and spelling along with the game.

Children learn lot from these games such as Math, Science, Reasoning, English, Colors, and many other skills while playing. The system typically sells for 49.99.

My daughters still enjoy this system. It has taught them to take turns, My 3 year recites her alphabet daily and is now recognizing her letters, my 4 year old is already playing the advanced levels of the games for 4-6 year olds. The only thing that is annoying is the cords they are a little long on the controllers, but in the car they are the right size. So I just wind them up and secure them with bread ties while the system is played in the home. Also the cartridge's can get ruined, I always put the games in for my children and allow no food or drinks around the system. You can be the judge on that one, but my daughters still make big messes.

I live life to the fullest extent that I can, I have 2 daughters 11 months apart and the antics that they do on a daily basis will keep me on my toes for a long time.  View profile
