Vulnerability

Yo
what will you do when i push you away?

the risk we take by letting each other in

must be supplemented by the promise that we

will stand firm and find the strength to break

down all of the walls we throw up in defense and

cowardice. by allowing ourselves to be vulnerable

and baring our souls, we create an understanding

and a love that is indestructable. this precious

gift must withstand the cruel obstacles that we

and the world will inevitably throw at each other.

though this love may dim and wither, once the window to

the heart is discovered, it will always remain there

waiting for somebody worthy to find it. this

vulnerability is not to be mistaken for a

weakness, for only when we allow each other in will

we be able to free ourselves of all inhibitions and

reach our greatest potential as humans. though social

expectations may obstruct our judgment, we must rise

above the clouds and see the light within our hearts.

only then will we achieve the extraordinary and gain

perspective on what truly matters in life - the influences

we have on those around us and the unconditional love we

create to help us through our darkest hours. a burden

shared is half the burden. we as humans mustn't allow

petty things to dishearten us. we must find the strength

and understanding to look beyond the exterior and discern

the truth behind the facades. no action comes without an

ulterior motive. whether it be to push away or bring

together, there is a reason. there is goodness in

everybody, there just isn't enough understanding in the world.
