W Magazine Cover Displays Angelina Jolie Breastfeeding Twins

Angelina Jolie is no stranger to attention of any kind, whether it is regular news for her charitable work or movies, or tabloid fodder about her babies. W magazine may have gotten closer to Angelina Jolie than any of the tabloids or media ever has, however. This November's issue of W magazine promises on the cover to have exclusive private photos of Jolie and Brad Pitt with their new baby twins. However, all of the focus is on the part of the W magazine cover featuring Angelina Jolie breastfeeding one of the twins.

The black-and-white cover photo of Angelina Jolie doesn't graphically show the breast or the breastfeeding act. The reader would have to glance down at the bottom right to see part of Jolie's exposed breast covered by the baby.

In truth, that part of the cover doesn't take up a lot of space on the magazine. For those who wanted an extra glimpse at more of Jolie's assets, there isn't quite enough exposure to satisfy them.

The photo wasn't taken by W magazine, but by Brad Pitt himself, as part of a series of personal photos the family gave W magazine for the issue. The photos were taken while Jolie and Pitt were at France's Chateau Miraval, where Jolie stayed in the last days of her pregnancy.

Jolie's twin babies, Knox Leon and Vivienne Marcheline, were born in July 2008. Soon afterwards, the first ever baby photos of the Jolie and Pitt twins went on to garner a $14 million dollar fee from People Magazine and the British tabloid Hello!

Jolie and Pitt's family now has three adopted kids and three babies that Jolie gave birth to. In the interview for W magazine, Jolie said that she and Pitt plan to add at least one more child to the famiy.

The W magazine issue with Jolie and her family was already going to make headlines for having more photos of the twins with their famous parents. But the W magazine cover of Jolie's breastfeeding has managed to overshadow that hyped up aspect of the issue.

According to the Associated Press, the breastfeeding advocacy organization La Leche League International has already come out with a statement praising Jolie. The organization's spokeswoman, Jane Crouse, has even called Jolie a role model for doing so.

Jolie receives this latest burst of attention just before her latest film is to be released. Changeling, directed by Clint Eastwood, stars Jolie as a real life 1920's LA woman who fought the LAPD after they failed to return her kidnapped child. Jolie, an Oscar winner for Girl, Interrupted, is already receiving major Oscar buzz for the movie.
