Wabash Valley Farms 25008 Whirley-Pop Stovetop Popcorn Popper Review

Jamie Cortez
Everybody loves popcorn. It's a great snack for watching movies, sports and just about anything else. If you eat a lot of popcorn you're going to need a good popcorn popper; something that won't leave plenty of un-popped kernel and also easy to use. The stovetop popcorn popper from Wabash Valley Farms is really a splendid popcorn popper to have at home. But is it good enough for you? Well, if you want to know how good it is just read the following good and bad points of this popcorn popper.

Pros
The Wabash Valley Farms 25008 Whirley-Pop stovetop popcorn popper is pretty large. Large enough to make 6 quarts of popcorn in one go. Even on full capacity you can cook the popcorn in about three minutes.

Unlike using a microwave you only need to use very little oil, butter and salt when making popcorn with this pot. Using it is pretty straightforward too. Just put the popcorn popper on a stove, add the corn plus a little oil or butter. Then turn the crank on the handle to stir the popcorn on the bottom of the pot and to make sure the heat and oil is evenly distributed. No shaking movement, like when using a pan, is necessary. Turning the crank is enough to make sure all the kernel pops and cooked evenly.

This popcorn popper is also very easy to clean. No need to use water or soap. Just wipe it with a paper towel and it's done. Another good thing is that the booklet that comes with the popcorn popper has dozens of delicious popcorn recipes. It's not much but it's a nice touch.

Cons
Wabash Valley Farms makes an insane 25 year warranty for the moving parts which is kind of ridiculous. I mean who would use the same popcorn popper for a quarter of a century?

Conclusion
For a mere $23 the Wabash Valley Farms 25008 Whirley-Pop stovetop popcorn popper is probably the best popcorn popper ever invented. If you're still using a microwave to make your popcorns you should try making them in this popper. I'm sure once you do that you won't go back using a microwave to make your popcorns. Just remember to read the manual and always use medium heat. That is all it takes to make a full pot of crispy, delicious popcorn.
