I was really amazed at what the Wacom Bamboo USB Tablet can do. You can hand write emails, you can sign documents using your computer, and actually give a real honest to goodness signature.
After watching the demonstration, I bought one myself for $69.99.
The pen that is used with the Wacom Bamboo USB Tablet is cordless, and doesn't need any batteries. You take the pen out of its holder, and writer on the surface just as if you were writing on paper.
To install the Wacom Bamboo USB Tablet couldn't be simpler. You just plug the cable into a USB port, and install the drivers from the CD. I would suggest going through the tutorial, so that you can get used to the way to use the Wacom Bamboo USB Tablet.
It should be noted that if you have not used a tablet PC, or anything like the Wacom Bamboo USB Tablet it does take a bit of getting used to. I found there to be more of a learning curve that I expected. You can't expect to be great with it right out of the gate. However, once you get the hang of it, you can do quite a bit with it.
The controls on the Wacom Bamboo USB Tablet are programmable, and you can change them up to make it easier on yourself.
When I first got it, I did go through the tutorial, and started playing with it. It really is just like drawing on paper. I have also found it useful in taking notes. I am going to college online, and I have Microsoft One Note, and have started using the Wacom Bamboo USB Tablet with it. I like being able to take notes the old fashioned way, and still have the notes on my computer without having to scan them in or retype them.
Something else that I was impressed with is that the Wacom Bamboo USB Tablet is compatible with both PC and Mac computers. This is good for me, as fairly soon I will be getting my first Mac.
The Wacom Bamboo USB Tablet is well worth what I paid for it. I am still learning what can be done with it, and am finding new things all the time. I recommend this to anyone who has experience with tablet computers, or wants to learn.
