WAHM.com is a Great Resource for Work at Home Careers

If you ever needed one resource to help you through the perils of starting a business out of your home, WAHM.Com is that site. I came across it a few years back when starting a perfume business and have used it like my personal bible ever since. Whether it's tax information, articles on helping you succeed in business, or forums to gather advice direct from the source, WAHM.com will never let you down in your fact finding missions.

One of my personal challenges was creating a business plan. I found over 10 articles particularly geared for business plan writing and was able to actually collaborate with the author as well for more tips. Even though the site's target audience is "Moms" I find valuable info that works for either sex and is truly a find. One of my favorite articles is on Email Marketing. The article states: "One of the best moves you can make for your business is to create an online marketing campaign. You'll spend far less money on online marketing than traditional forms of marketing. Some aspects of online marketing require no money, and you can still reach a large number of prospective customers." The article goes on to share seven different ways to utilize online marketing and save tons of money on advertising. This type of free advice is critical to a startup and I've found that most of the authors on the site have been successful entrepreneurs for years.

The site also has a classified section on business opportunities and work at home jobs that can help you find the career you're looking for or provide more info on one you may already be planning to join. There is another forum once you do join a certain company where can get to know other distributors within that company, talk about meetings, conference calls and other training opportunities so you can better your skills.

Off topic they have a recipe board, blog and other fun areas on the site when you need to relax and "un-focus" for a while. WAHM.com is the perfect addition to your Internet favorites list and the perfect resource particularly for women looking for business advice.
