Waiting

A Poem of Ambiguity

Brendan W Vittum
Some things need not be explained. Rather, leaving to stand upon their own feet they may mean whatever is needed or desired by the reader. To often I think we attempt to dictate meaning where it is plausible something means one thing to me, and another to you.

Waiting,

Waiting,
For the coffee pot.
Waiting,
For the doctor.
Waiting,
For the network.
Waiting,

Waiting
For the right time.

I wait for:
coffee fixes;
an income earned;
treatment regimes;
need to transfer;

obsession with your voice.

Waiting.
Half my existence
Waiting.
Waiting.
