Wake at the Count of Three

It was a Dark and Rainy Night.........

James R. Ford

"meet the new boss, same as the old boss......" --- The Who

always heard it said that the more things change

the more that they stay the same

these days, I've come to learn

to expect the unexpected, and pass the blame

some days are better than others

some sisters are smarter than brothers

some nights are lonely and cold

some friends are boney and old

each day brings another chance

one more time to learn the dance

one more night to play the game

one more time of "What's your name?"

another chance to learn a rhyme

to be kicked out at closing time

another chance to laugh a lot

this one's through, it's all I got

if you don't like it, too bad, Jack

go find yourself another hack

but if you do, please recommend

share these verses with a friend.
