you'll be staring down the barrel of a gun
my mind is a fully loaded banana clip and I'm a empty it
spittin direct hits in every direction for the revolution
I'm out to kill all the confusion, and...murder the illusion that we are all free
hell, instead of picking cotton, they got us stocking, the shelves at Wal-Mart, or flipping burgers at Mickey D's
nigga please, the land of the free isn't free, and it can't be bought with the
nickel and dime wages that they be paying us
blacks, browns and poor whites are all destined for fu@#ing cages
I hope as I say this... it ignites a fire under your ass and it rages
cause they ain't fooling me with a Latina Supreme court Justice or no black mayors
no I ain't no naysayer playa, and I ain't no playa hater
but if you thought we would see change cause we got a black president, then they fu@#ing played ya
see a politician is a fu@#ing politician
reciting speeches that have been pre-written
on toilet paper cause all them mutha fu@#as be bull s#!tting
who they think they kidding?
if we really want change, we need to break a dollar
we need the revolution to start today not yesterday or tomorrow
we need to stop imprisoning our children and raise them up to be scholars
like Nathan McCall, the injustice just makes me wanna holla
San Quentin, Trenton State all the way to Valhalla
this is the big pay back mutha fu@#ers
nah I ain't one of the last poets, but I have to ask this question
why are niggas scared of the revolution? when it's our only solution
I'm not talking about bombing and shooting
rioting or looting, I'm talking about change
We need to break the chains that they've
wrapped around our brains
stop them from pumping poison into our peoples veins
yea we need to
break the shackles
and we need to
break the hand cuffs, because enough is enough
we need to wake the fu@# up, word up, so set your alarms
raise your arms, and get ready to do something...
you gotta...you gotta
wake up now!...and fu@#ing stop hitting the snooze button.
